Guest guest
Hello all, We just had our eight month old b/g twins fitted for their STARband helmets on Friday. I am extremely unhappy with the pattern on DD's helmet. We chose an olive green camouflage pattern for DS (DH being career military and an avid outdoorsman) and it looks more or less like the photo on the sample book. For DD we chose what was supposed to be a pastel version of the camouflage. In the photo the colors looked like soft pink and blue, but that's nowhere near what we received. It's far closer to neon than pastel, and is just big swirls of color, not like camouflage in the least. The whole thing looks totally psychedelic. If I was hoping for subtle, this isn't it. Has anyone else gotten this pattern and had the same issue? I'm very frustrated that we're stuck with this for the next several months... Guest guest
Hello. My Daughter had just a plain light pink band, and we put stickers on it. I'm not sure if anyone on here got the pattern that you are talking about or if anyone got a pattern that they were unhappy with. Maybe they made a mistake and did a different pattern than what you asked for. The only thing I can think to suggest is for you to paint the band (I would assume you could still paint it even over a pattern). There should be decorating and painting tips in the files section, I believe. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi, We did not have that pattern but, we got our son a solid blue Starband & it's kind of purple!! I had posted about this a few weeks ago & got a few responses that others son's also had purple helmets instead of blue. When I spoke to my ortho he said he was surpised to see it too. He also said he had issues with the American flag Starbands because the red was orange. I guess because they are transfers they have some color issues. You could try painting it. We just left our son's as is & I just put very boyish stickers on it! LOL My husband said we should have gotten the camo. At least that one came out good for your son!
