Guest guest
Wow, sure are a lot of ladies with this problem. I just joined so I could read the posts and hopefully gain some comfort as I am wiggin' out this weekend. I am 51 and am in menopause now, have not had a period for 3 yrs but still having hot flashes. Last fall I noticed a hardness in my lower abdomen and had some pain in right side. I put it off to menopause symptoms. 3 weeks ago I began to feel the top of what I think is my uterus as tho I were PG! Feels the same anyway. I have not been diagnosed yet, have my appt with my gyno on Tuesday.I have no symptoms other that having to feel pressure to pee more. I've just been very scared because 1) it seems to have grown so fast and 2)I had breast cancer 11 years ago. I dont think there is a connection, in fact my oncologist gave me the all clear, I'm cured of b cancer. Its just really scary and you feel all alone. I don't want to go thro yet another betrayal of my body. I've been reading some of the posts of many of the younger women. I feel bad for you all, that you have to deal with this while still wanting children, how scary. My thought is just take the damn thing out, altho I cannot have hormone therapy. Well, just wanted to say " Hi " and I have been comforted. Seems we women always start worrying about the worst that can happen (death), then somehow we get the strength to go thro it. I Will keep all of you in my prayers and will let you know how my appt goes. The waiting is the worst, so try not to be anxious and I will try and take my own advice! Guest guest
Hi, You could very well have fibroids. Cancer in this case isn't really a worry. They can grow fast at times. This wouldn't be new. So this should calm you. They say tumor and you think cancer but it's not the case here. Your problem might be them talking you into a hyst because of your age. UAE may be a option. Myo would be in any case. Just take out the fibroid. Don't let them bully you into any treatment that you don't want. Do what you want. I'm not sure how a full hyst could effect you. Hormones and all. I'd suggest the most minimal option you can do. You can then always do something else if need be. Welcome to the group. Try not to worry. Will be thinking of you. Ku Sandy wrote: Wow, sure are a lot of ladies with this problem.
