Guest guest
Hi, everybody Today is my daughter, Betty's second anniversary, I placed a memorial note on the local newspaper. Time goes by fast, two years were gone. We always keep her in our heart. As I already announced the publishing of the book "Melas Angels" last year, which was written by me and ph Yu, whose daughter passed away with MELAS too, in the memory of the girls, we joined together to write the stories of our daughters. The profits from the sales of this book would be donated to charity and for the resarch of Mitochondrial Diseases. After a year, we just made the first cheque of around USD3,000.00 to UMDF recently. Unfortuately, these money was mainly come from the sales of Chinese version copies in Hong Kong, only a few English version copies were sold because the publisher has no way to do the promotion in North America. Therefore, ph deceides to send the English version copies to UMDF, in order to let them to do the fund raising, then, the money will go directly to UMDF. These hundreds of copies are on the way from Hong Kong to USA's UNDF now, anyone of you would like to buy a Melas Angels, may contact UMDF. Also, the UMDF will print this news on their coming Spring Newsletter2004. Joyce (Melas mother of Betty, passed away at 14. And Benny, 10 now) (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) MSN ¬Ûï ´£¨Ñ±z³Ì²³æªº¤è¦¡¤À¨É¨Ã¦C¦L±zªº¬Û¤ù
Guest guest
Joyce, It was so nice to hear from you. You are right.. two years have passed very quickly. It doesn't seem possible. Thank you for telling us about the book. I'm glad it will be available thru the UMDF. I'll certainly purchase a copy. Please let us know when we can order them.
