a and everyone else,

Mom is about the same

as last night when we left, except her BP was up kind of high this

morning, so they put a nitro patch on her and I guess it was down to

160 / 70. Laurie said she doesn't seem as alert today as yesterday,

but I'm guessing the BP would effect that too. She was also starting

to retain fluids, so they had to cut back on the D5 rate. Poor Laurie

has been with Mom all day by herself, as I planned to go visit with our

brother since I am closest to him and Laurie is closest to Mom. Our

Dad didn't make it at all today as his van decided to croak when he was

driving to the nursing home. Being out in the sticks, he won't be able

to get a rental until tomorrow. Our other brother is experiencing his

first full blown mito crash we think, as he spent all day Friday doing

plumbing in his house and hasn't been able to get out of bed since for

all practical purposes.

That is why Laurie didn't get a break today. I feel so bad for her.

She did take a little break though and went out to lunch with her son

Kent and his wife . Our other brother Al that is in the hospital

still has no idea what is causing the bleeding. They did a colonoscpy

and found one small polyp they removed, but no source of bleeding.

They also did an EGD and didn't find any stomach bleed either. They

plan to do another test with barium tomorrow, but they didn't really

know what that was. He also has, what Al calls, a blood doctor, so I

guess they are looking at if from multiple angles. I am making him

some home made bread to take to him and a jar of peanut butter. If you

knew Al, you would understand. I think that is about all I know right

now. Thank you EVERYONE for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

It really

means a lot!

(Laurie too)

If any of you are so inclined, prayers and good thoughts

for our family

are really needed right now. Our Mom is in a nursing home and had a

stroke this morning. She can't even open her eyes and the only

response

they have gotten from her is a weak squeeze of her right hand. Also,

our brother Al was admitted to the hospital yesterday for massive blood

transfusions. From what my sister-in-law was able to tell me, he is

down to about only 1 1/2 units of blood in his body and they can't find

the source of bleeding. So, now we can't tell my Mom about our brother

and can't tell our brother about our Mom. My brother would try to rip

out the line and try to get to my Mom we are afraid. That is just the

way he is. The only reason we even know about our brother is because

his wife told me when I tried to reach him to let him know about our

Mom. He didn't want anyone to know.

Sorry to ramble on, I guess I am a little stressed right now. I

haven't

been able to reach Laurie either, and I pray I get to talk to her

before

she reads about things here.

Thanks everyone, you are a great great group of friends and we are very

lucky to have you all in our lives.
