Guest guest
Hi All: I signed on to the group a few weeks ago since I am scheduled to have a UFE next month. I had a myomectomy in March 2001, and I have had new fibroids that have grown since then. I'm young, and haven't had children, and I really want to have children one day soon. I feel like this is my last ditch effort. Anyway, I am planning to have a women's health fair on my job in May, and I really would like to have a UFE expert on hand to explain and distribute information about the procedure. I'm sure there are many women who may not know about the procedure, or who may be afraid to ask. Can anyone recommend a physician or a clinic in the DC area that I can contact? Thanks mattsaunti

You're right around the corner from town University's hospital and Dr. Spies. He's got a whole department devoted to UAE/UFE He's great at responding to questions and has been published. In fact, he recommended the IR department I used in Pittsburgh. Some of the doctors who trained in Pittsburgh are now with his practice.
