Guest guest
They should not have even gotten the $750 per child as far as I'm concerned. She was earning $2300 per month, her ex was paying $1500 per month. He was getting long term disability and SSA so that probably was around $2000 a month. Ok, lets add this up... 2300 + 1500 + 2000 = 5800 per month. Now I ask you, why on earth didn't SSA figure in her child support payments and her income? They would now... everything is figured in now. After I sent out the first post I remember something else..... She stayed married to him for 1 yr and 1 month. That one extra month entitled her to receive SSA payments for the kids until they were 18 yrs old (at the time they were 12 & 14). And they weren't even his kids... She blew the $29,000 on a boyfriends home remodelling it. And the boy ended up in Juvenile home and her girl moved in with a friend. So, the child support should have stopped but didn't. I can see SSA's point in revamping the system since it stunk before. But, who was in charge when all these rules were set in motion. And, who's the person that said it was OK to pay for something that shouldn't be? Pretty stupid if you ask me. Another Enron if you ask me.
