Guest guest
to Alma: Reconsider and research the UAE. I had all your symptoms (starting a long time ago but steadily worsening until I couldn't stand it.) At age 48 (well nearly 49) I had my UAE. This was 7 months ago and all my bulk symptoms were resolved by the procedure. My total down time (where I could not function without medical assistance) was 1 day. I was doing housework on day 2 and back at my job (although tired and cranky) on day 5. In my opinion, YOU DO NOT NEED A HYSTERECTOMY to resolve your situation. Many women find their gynos unwilling to make a recommendation for a uterus-saving procedure, this is normal (and disappointing). It doesn't mean you are getting good advice at all. There is an entire group here on yahoo called 'embo' which is devoted to those who are considering, or who have had, UAEs. You might want to post there, too. best, laurie g.
