Hey everybody!

My question has to deal with the size of my fibroid... I was told

that it is just under 7 cm. I hear alot of people talking about a

certain gestation size...Would anybody know what mine would be

classified as? Just simply from knowing how many CM it is? and oh

yeah...Is it possible I have one that they don't see like on the

back of my uterus or something? I only had an abdominal ultrasound

done. My doctor ordered both an abdominal and a trans-vaginal one.

The tech wouldn't do the trans because I am still a virgin, and only

19..Go figure!! Well, thanks in advance for any replies I recieve!

Hi Kris,

I read in one of the many books on fibroids that 1 in = 8 week

pregnancy. 1 inch=2.54 cm. The rest of the women will correct me if

i'm wrong. I'm just letting you know what I read. Yes it is possible

that you have other fibroids that are missed during an abdominal

ultrasound.

I am 25 and I have 3 fibroids, 2 that are 4cm and one 6cm and I must

say that joining this group is one of the best things I've done.

Everyone is so very supportive.

Good Luck,

Shaunah :)

When I had my myomectomy, there was one large fibroid in the wall of my uterus

they knew of from the ultrasound. During the surgery, my doctor found two

other smaller ones inside the uterus that did not show up beforehand, so she

removed those as well.
