Oh isn't that the sick truth? When I was hypo, I am 51 but felt like 80. It was

especially worse when taking a statin. Couldn't think what activity to do next.

Yes I am fine today and even had my LATE Christmas dinner today! Just got done

with a huge slice of Mince pie, and did the dishes. Now I have sliced lamb for

the next month to eat! LOL I love it though as I only cook it once in a great

many years.

I didn't receive this original e-mail - but... I'm 51 also. And I feel at least

70. I always say that I am afraid of what I will be like in 20 years when I

really am that age. It scares me a lot!!

Hospitals around here don't allow patients to take their self-medicating

products into the hospital with them. While in their, one only is allowed to

take what their doctor orders. Otherwise it has to be smuggled in & taken

secretly so none of the hospital staff knows.

I'm sorry....

I think about this a lot though - ever since I was in the hospital last year.

I took my armour with me, and I was glad that I did. They told me I had to take

my own - plus, I had to take my own estrogen that I was still taking at the

time. They didn't have that low of a dose available.

when my grandmother and when my father was in the nursing homes, they were

both allowed to take their vitamins. My mom took them to my granmother for her.

Actually, my dad was in a personal care home by me. I think he actually bought

them himself, although, I know they were willing to order them from the local

pharmacy for him. Same with my grandmother.

I smuggled it in - then when they couldn't provide it for me, they asked if I

happened to have brought it with me, or if someone could bring it to me. Had

they been able to provide it, they wouldn't have known I had taken it in.

problem too can arise with the armour if 'we' take more than is prescribed by

our doctors....
