Molly,

I haven't called this doctor yet....but saw an article about him. I plan to

call his office next week and see what I can find out. His name is

Dykes, MD. He's also listed at the American Holistic Medical Association site

when I did a search for NC (www.holisticmedicine.org). Phone number is

919/286-7755. There are some other doctors listed there that might interest you

too...do a search.

Also, a list of doctors who use Women's Pharmacy will be sent to you if you

request an information packet from then. www.womensinternational.com I

figure if a doc used bio-identical hormones, they probably would use Armour.

So - you tried ee? and didn't click? Her Top Doc thing was so

glowing...I figured she'd be terrific...and although I thought she was

cordial...she

seemed a bit unknowledgeable in several areas.

I just checked...and you're right...he's not on the NC doctors now. But I

had printed the page when I did the search...and he was there on 9/9/2004.

Maybe he didn't pay his dues? I had come across the article somewhere

else...and

what impressed me was it saying he only schedueld 10 patients a day...how he

wanted to serve his patients with his head and his heart...how he view

patients as EQUALS who have a right to participate as full partners in medical

decision making...etc. I kept the article and am quoting. He attended Duke

university...dang, I sure hope he's still there...I may try to call that number

tomorrow.

Hi Cindi,

Thanks for replying. I used to go to her. We just didn't " click " .

Could you share the name of the doc in Durham? I could use a

holistic doctor as I am sure I have lots of other issues going on in

my body. I'm only 2 hours from Durham.

Thanks so much!!

Cindi,

I didn't see Dr. Dykes name listed at that site below. Do you think

you saw his name on another site by chance?

I worked with ee for over a year and was no better off than

when I started. I felt like I was a frustrating case for her so

that's when I started looking elsewhere. She was cordial and did

listen though.

Thanks for your help!

Cindi,

I just called the number and he's closed until 1/3/05. He left a

nice message and sounds very calm and caring. I'll be calling back

next Monday to see what I can find out.

Have a great day!
