Hello Everyone- I am Yvonne of " Concerned Husband " and I want to

thank so many of you who have written back for your information and

your support. I have had fibroids for about 10 years but they have

not bothered me at all until recently. I am 44 years old now and have

had no children. I finally conceived at 37 after many years of trying

and then had a devestating miscarriage and was then never able to

conceive again so I am dealing with the disappointment of not having

had children which is very difficult as many of you can understand.

My question to the group is about stress. I have had an unbelievably

stressful 6 months and I am starting to wonder about the connection

between stress and these fibroids. For 10 years, these things have

just been sitting in my body not doing much of anything. I had my

regular GYN visit in May 03 and everything was fine. In June all

hell broke lose in my life and it has been quite a roller coaster.

Thank God for Hal, my husband for his support during this time. I

started having some dull aches in my pelvis and became concerned so I

returned to my GYN in November who referred me for a sonogram. She

told me that they have grown quite a bit in a short time but that I

am still in the " wait and see " mode. I will be returning to her in

April for another look at what is going on. In the meantime, I am

going to try some of the natural/holistic methods that I have read

about (like shitake mushrooms) to try to shrink these things. I would

be interestd in hearing what the group has to say about the stress

connection as well as any success anyone has had with natural

methods. Thanks again to all of you and good luck! Yvonne
