Guest guest
Can anyone tell me more about this? What will I need after my surgery? I am not sure if I should get them or what to get? Do you find they are really good to use? Any help on this would be great. Also, what else should I do or get before my surgery? Take care GiJo
Guest guest
One big question on whether you need these or not is if you will be wired. If you are going to be wired, I think it may be an absolute. I am not wired, only banded and have not used them much. For myself, I bought the jaw wrap and the office pack. It was worht the money just to have them around in case I needed them. LEt me know if you have nay other questions.
Guest guest
I am wired shut...and I use the zip n squeeze bags at every meal! They are a must have if you are wired! I can drink out of a glass just fine now...even wired...but I find the bags much easier to use for main meals (soups, boost, shakes, etc.). It's just juices and clear liquids that I use a glass for at this point. Also, since the zipn squeeze bags are not see-through, it makes some blended food more tolerable when you don't have to see what color they are! Guest guest
I would like to add to your post :-) I was suppose to be banded, but ended up being wired - so, sometimes it is hard to be completely prepared - I recommend buying a small supply and then buying more later if you like them right after surgery and you have had a couple days to test them out and tried other methods of feeding - that is what I ended up doing. I think they are very helpful and couldn't imagine eating everything just using the syringe. > One big question on whether you need these or not is if you will be > wired. Guest guest
if you ask me the zip and squeeze that holds liquids, not necessarily the puree thing saved my life. i had upper and lower and had hard time drinking after surgery... as far as i am concerned i would have wound up in emergency rooom without it .
