Guest guest
Hi! My name is Theresa, I have three boys, 3yrs, 2yrs, and 4 months. The first two laid on their tummies to sleep (I know, bad!), it was the only way that they would sleep for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Just last Thursday, I pointed out my 4-month-old's () head is flat on one side. The doctor had us get an x-ray done to make sure it wasn't craniosyn...whatever, I am glad to say that everything looked fine on the x-ray! The doctor said to just continue trying to position him correctly. So I am researching this to the max, my 's head looks like he has Plagiocephaly; flat on one side, one ear lower than the other. I glanced at some information about torticollis and when I looked at him, he does not hold his head straight, very consistently (I've looked in pictures) and he will look to the one side, but not for long, then he turns his head back to the comfy side. I was wondering if I should just have him look the uncomfortable way as much as possible, or if I should make another appointment to see the doctor. The same for his head, should I just wait and see if it gets better (he is about 4 and a half months old), or should I make an appointment at 5 months? I don't want to overlook a problem, but I don't want to be the hypochondriac mom Any insight is welcome!! Thanks for letting me join your group, I look forward to learning all I can about this!
