Guest guest
I can answer in lay terms, it is an ultrasound-like (laser?) procedure that breaks up the fibroid tissue with out any invasive surgery. There is a study going on at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and possibly other places too. I don't believe it is available to the general public at this time but is being researched with good results. if you search Google for " focused ultrasound fibroids " you will get better descriptions that I can give. Hope this helps. Re: Re: focused ultrsound? Dumb question here, but what exactly is a focused ultrasound? Jenn
