A couple of them were grueling. For the EMG, I had about 50 or 60 electrodes " screwed " into my head. They actually broke the skin of my scalp to get a good contact. The test was over 2 hrs. long, wearing a very tight cap to hold the electrodes in place, then I had to concentrate very hard when tapping my finger, not blinking for 4 seconds before or after I tapped. The blinking interferred with the EMG. After 2 hrs. I had a very bad headache. It took me about 3 weeks to recover from that 1 1/2 days of testing this year. This was the most difficult and grueling testing I've had in the 4 years I've gone to NIH. Just so you know what to expect if you get into this trial. It isn't a picnic, but hopefully they can learn something from it. Take care!
