Guest guest
it is not too late for treatment. you should get an evaluation from a cranial facial specialist or a band provider (sometimes that is easier initially than getting a doctor's referral). once you have an idea of the severity it will be easier to tell if something should be done. If he's moderate to severe I would band because it will likely not round out on its own. take care and let us know how it goes. -christine mom to sydney/ 13 mo/ starband grad 10-06 > > My son has had a very mis-shapen head for a while now, however our > docotor hasn't been concerned. Guest guest
8 months is definitely not too late for treatment, but he's at the age it's not likely it will improve much on it's own. Here is a link to the site for the makers of the DOCband. If there is a location near you they'll usually provide free consultations (even without a referral) and help you find a band friendly doctor if your doctor refuses to write a prescription. Since head growth has slowed, the earlier you start the better. http://www.cranialtech.com/ Good luck!
