Guest guest
I've tried searching the posts here for " numb " and " numbness " and didn't get anything back. So, for those of you that are 2 months or more past surgery, do you still have numbness? I had an abdo myo Oct 21 (8 cm fibroid, bikini cut) and it is still numb *above* the incision line to just below my belly button, and the area that is numb is about the full size of my hand. Is this normal? Does the feeling ever come back? I've talked to friends that have had surgery and C-sections. Some say it takes about 6 months to see if the feeling will come back. Others say there is always a numb spot. I never had any itchiness around the incision area because it has continued to be numb. I guess itchiness is a good sign that the nerves are working right. Anyway, for those of you contemplating surgery, I would have to say that I would take some numbness over the flooding/clotting/hourly trips to the bathroom/pressure on bladder any day! Also, notice I said the numbness was *above* the incision line. Thankfully, everything is functioning fine and no numbness *below* the incision line. So, anyone here that has had a bikini cut myo and it has been 2 months or more after surgery, please respond with your experiences as to numbness, etc. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi- I had my abdominal myo with a bikini cut on Oct. 2, almost 3 months ago, and I still have some numbness above my incision and almost up to my belly button. I have more sensation than I did right after the surgery, but the numbness is still there. Like you, though, I woudl gladly take the numbness over what I went through with the fibroids I had!!! bmbcali wrote: Anyway, for those of you contemplating surgery, I would have to say that I would take some numbness over the flooding/clotting/hourly trips to the bathroom/pressure on bladder any day! Guest guest
After a few months the feeling will come back.............I think it was about three to four months before I had feelings. bmbcali wrote: So, for those of you that are 2 months or more past surgery, do you still have numbness?
