Not sure I'd want to have that one removed Maybe if I had some permanent chocolate inside, it would tame those monster chocolate cravings? " Just go for it " , huh, Rhonda? Sounds like we're in the same boat...so, tell you what- I'll make you a deal- I'll jump if you do ) Elana In a message dated 12/16/03 6:17:34 PM Pacific Standard Time, uterinefibroids writes: > Message: 17 > Date: Tue, 16 Dec 2003 19:07:46 EST > From: MMECURIE@... > Subject: Re: CHRISTINE ( & others)- I'm CONFUSED / Was: " new to group " > > Hi Elana, > > You should just go for it. Guest guest
Hi Elana, Yikes! I'm not ready yet for a myo! (Easy for me to tell you to go for it, huh?) This is something I need to get psyched for and I'm not in a good place right now. But we are in the same boat, I also have no one to look after me. I think I could do ok by myself - I've always been self-sufficient - but there's so many things you shouldn't do. Just the cab ride home from the hospital will be a nightmare - lots of bumpy streetcar tracks near the hospital. I suppose I could get someone to pick me up but I think the determination that one has only oneself to rely on might really help the recovery. But I might get a private nurse for the first few days at home. Oh, about the chocolate cyst - it isn't actually made out of chocolate - disappointing eh? :-) But it does add another food term to the fibroid fruit basket - it had to be done - those melons, apples, dates etc. are getting boring. It's really called an endometrioma and it's not the kind that just goes away on it's own. Well, just another thing to add to the list of things to remove. Doesn't concern me at all - or should it? But really Elana, you should get it done. You have an excellent surgeon with an excellent record (at least I've heard this) - why worry? I'm sure you'll do just fine. The timing is good for you - sounds to me like you have nothing to lose except your fibroids. Rhonda
