Guest guest
Well, I had my myo last Friday. I don't want to write a lot now, but want to note that I had TWENTY fibroids removed (two on the larger side around 5 cm or slightly more, 4 or 5 pretty small, the rest the " seedling " type which were undetectable by MRI or ultrasound of either type). I'm in shock about the number, and concerned about recurrence because of the number. Doctor worked hard to get them all, but . . ..I haven't yet asked about how serious my chances are of having bad problems again due to the number of fibroids. I had a 5 month size uterus, bikini cut. I'm 41 and really don't/didn't want a hysterectomy, but don't want to go through all this again. Doctor is VERY, VERY skilled at this type of surgery. In other ways I'm doing pretty well so far, though not great. Not a lot of pain, but very weak and can't sleep, lungs have something in them. I'll write more when feeling stronger. --Judy
Guest guest
Judy, Make sure you are using that breathing thing they gave you in the hospital..it will help you to breath deep and get the gunk out of your lungs. I am 11 days post op and I know how you feel. I was not able to sleep much for the first week....but rest assured it will get better! Don't worry about recurrence issues now. Just concentrate on healing. It sounds like you have an amazing surgon and I am sure he got EVERYTHING he saw! Hang in there...you will start to feel better!!!!!!! > Well, I had my myo last Friday.
