Guest guest
- It's just not that simple. Right now you seem to think that having a hysterectomy will totally take care of your fibroids. That's true, but what you're missing is what the hysterectomy is likely to do to you as a result. There is a lot of research on the subject, but as a result of a hyst, you could potentially look forward to heart disease, risk of stroke, bladder problems for the rest of your life, possible impact on your sex drive and sexual response. I don't think I've even covered all the list. Doctors recommending hysterectomy in this country have by and large been trained to regard the uterus as a disposable organ - once you have had kids, you don't need it any more. Well, that's just not true, this organ (and your ovaries, which will also be at risk) play a vital role in your overall health as a woman. So, as Gerri pointed out, check out the links for this group, and do some research. There are many better options (in fact, they are ALL better) than a hyst. And from my point of view, UAE is probably one of the best at the moment since it has the shortest recovery time and the least impact on the body. Anyone who tells you that you could lose a leg from it is speaking from misinformation at best. The risk associated with surgery (just the surgery, not even considering the aftermath) of a hyst are HIGHER than all the risks associated with having a UAE. The only way you are going to come to terms with the best thing to do, for your body, and for your LONG TERM health, is to do the research. You are in a great place here to get lots of very good info. best, laurie g.

Guest guest
That is funny, those dots before your lines. No idea how to get them though, or how to get rid of it.... I'm glad you're doing better! Currently, my astma is bad. I think I'm underdosed with Armour after my last expiriment. I also started taking calcium, and although I take it far away from my thyroidmeds, I assume it interferes with absorbtion. As well as winter has set in ..... Have you finished with all the furniture-errands in your house? Margreet. > > > * Hi, Margreet! LOL Can you tell I'm STILL way behind? I have the > same worries! > > * I'm doing better as long as I can stay well. LOL I had something > like the flu > > * That left me with an infected lymph node.
