We take it off up to six times a day to do stretches (sometimes we keep it on for them), and to clean it frequently. It seems to help a little bit with the stink factor and to get some air to his head. I wipe his head off too if he is sweaty. We put it right back on then though. And we probably have it off a little less than an hour in the evening for bathtime. He adjusted very well to napping in it and then to sleeping overnight. I hope yours is the same. As an aside...I was one who was so concerned about my son's eczema and how the band would affect it. It has actually helped it!!! His skin is best on his forehead and head where the band covers, and has occasional breakouts at the edges of the helmet in front of the ears. We are so thankful that the eczema has not affected his ability to wear the band, and has actually been helped by it. Maybe the increased

moisture and humidity in the band??? Anyway, hope your little one adjusts to the sleeping ok. I know I worried a lot about it too. transition for everyone or are there any suggestions to make it easier? Also, I know they tell you to wear it 23 hours a day and I am really not trying to "buck the system", but I just had to ask if you ever take it off during the day.thanksJocelyn
