Guest guest
Hello My name is Bernadette I am 37 year old Australian. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years next month. Both of us have undergone fertility testing and no abnormalities where found in either of us. We fell pregnant in September 2002 and where extremely excited - unfortunately this was short lived. At 11 weeks I commenced spotting which continued for 3 days and then recommenced we had another scan done and our baby had grown and had a strong heartbeat and we were told not to worry. At 12 weeks to the day I experienced cramping and went in for another scan which showed that the heartbeat was negligible and that I was in the process of miscarrying. My Obgyn performed a D&C. I had no abnormal bleeding and waited for my period to return. The first month I had mild cramping but no showing and was told that maybe not enough lining had returned. The second month I had slight spotting but quite a bit of cramping but no normal period. An internal ultra sound was performed which showed a 9.8 mm uterus lining and was told that my period should come any day - it did not. The third month I had severe cramping for 4 days with consistent light brown discharge. I am scheduled for a hysteroscopy on 7th April but my Obygn is certain that I have Asherman's Syndrome. I am also on a high dose contraceptive pill. This is incredibly hard to cope with and understand and I feel totally lost and isolated. My husband and I are devastated. I would appreciate any support or information that you have. I understand that until a final diagnosis that this is a little difficult. Thanking you in anticipation.
