Hi,

When is your next appointment with CT? Let us know what they say.

My daughter has a bulge after 3 weeks and I asked CT during my appt. on

Monday They said that it is common and that it will disappear and there is

nothing to worry about. It is the size of about a quarter and is right above

the

strap where there is a " y " shape. It does stick out slightly (like a puffy

sticker)

but I am not worried about it since I trust CT to tell me the truth. My

daughter is

bald and I noticed it because it seemed to pop up in a couple of days. I didn't

ask for specifics of why it occurred so I can't give you that information.

However, you didn't mention which side the bulge is on. Is it above the strap

like my daughter's? If not, then we do not have the same problem. But either

way if you could tell me what your clinician says, I would appreciate it.

Hopefully, we will receive the same answer for the same problem.

My ds has been in his band for over 4 weeks now and last week I

noticed that there was a bulge over one of his ears. I called CT

and asked her about it. She asked me if it was by the space opening

underneath the velcro. I checked and it was there. She said that

it is normal to have a bulge where the opening on the side is and

that it will go away within 4 weeks after the band comes off.

Another mom told me that this was true with both of her banded

daughters that are now band free. Is the bulge on the open side

bigger than the bulge on the other side? Maybe this is what it is.

Ask CT as sson as you can to put your mind at ease.

My son is having some bulging above both ears, not just the side with

the strap. The ortho said that it was fluid retention and not to

worry about it, just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get

too bulging. For those of you experienced parents out there, is this

normal? Thanks!
