Guest guest
Janie- Well, I have to start somewhere getting armour and doctor on list in my area is a gyno.- how would I ask him for thyroid meds.? SO, I'll take a chance and see if this pharm. will give it to me. I will check for the " A " on the tablet. What will I do the next month? As with any drug, if it seems to work at all I will get more from him or find a doctor or order it. As I said, I have to start somewhere, the sooner the better. I figure if I could try it and felt any improvement it would be easier then to ask a doctor for it. thanks, clis
Guest guest
Hi Clis. Armour works! Most folks start on a safe lower dose first, and it's important not to stay on the starting dose much longer than a few weeks, or the hypo will return with a vengeance. So, if it does for you, don't think that Armour isn't working, ok?? Also, some folks feel the beginning of improvement fairly quick--like within the first 48 hours. Others may take a week or more. Whatever yours is, you hang there. Better days are ahead! Guest guest
My old gyny ( I had to switch because of my insurance) ran thyroid tests on me - as routine. He was great! I don't know if he would have prescribed Armour for me or not though, but I feel sure that I could have convinced him to do it. Not sure I could have convinced him to treat me with ignoring the TSH though. But - I don't think it is unusal for gyn's to be concerned with the thyroid, so it shouldn't seem that unusal of a request. I've been lax on seeing my new gyny, and haven't had to request anything of her about my thyroid, so I've no clue how she would feel - Although, she is young and seems pretty open. I'll have to ask her at my next apt. - if I ever get around to making it!!
