Guest guest
This site has a lot of information about progesterone but the navigation is a little weird -- you have to use the left navigation bar, roll-over HORMONES, the over SEX HORMONES, then over PROGESTERONE and you can click on the links that show up there. The directions they give are in contradiction with other information I've seen where you should only use it post ovulation (whenever ovulation occurs). http://thecompounder.com/hormonesprogesteronefaq.html I have this article bookmarked from this site linked which you might find helpful, it is by Dr Lee and it talks about why transdermal dosing of progesterone is preferable. Note that it says too much progesterone can " [result] in rather high levels of allopregnanolone and the woman becomes rather anesthetized by it, a state that is sometimes confused with depression " -- so that would be a side effect if too much is taken. LETTER TO A COMPOUNDING PHARMACIST Delivery of steroid hormones. http://thecompounder.com/Letter2Compounder.html You can learn more about progesterone by reading What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Pre-Menopause (also by Dr Lee) --Ann > Greetings ladies > > I have been hearing a lot about Natural Progesterine > Cream for treating fibroids. Guest guest
Thank you so much for the info. Just wanted to let you know that I am currently taking 250 mg. of sublingual progesterone. Wondering if that's just as good as the cream. I had tried the cream 2 years ago, but to no avail. I'll keep researching. God bless!
Guest guest
, Will you be going back to find out if the cream helped to shrink it? Where are you located at? How do I find a naturopath? wrote: > Has anyone used natural progesterone cream to help with Fibroids, > endometriosis, infertility, or PMS? > > D Hi - I'm pretty new, but here is my experience. I have been using a natural progesterone cream since mid-October. I use one gram (1/4 teaspoon) topically each day, split between AM and PM. My naturopath prescribed it after I had my hormone levels tested via a urine collection test in September. I don't know how much the progesterone (used in conjunction with 5 mg. twice a day of DHEA) has helped my fibroid (it may be too soon for that, I don't know), but I believe it has helped my menstrual migraines tremendously - I was getting 3 or 4 migraines every month around the time I got my period for the past two or three years, and now the migraines have pretty much stopped - I had one at the beginning of December during my period, and none during my last period. Hope that helps. age 47, with a 16 to 18 week sized fibroid

How do I find a naturopath? > Hi Buffy Row - I am actually going for an ultrasound this week, as I have been to see my gyn following an extended period of bleeding in December and early January. I'm intending on continuing the progesterone cream, and continuing to see my naturopath, so I will monitor what happens with the fibroid during this course of treatment. I live in western Connecticut, and I have been seeing Dr. Rubman at Southbury Clinic for Traditional Medicine. They have a page on their site which has <a href= " http://www.naturopath.org/links_proffesional.html/ " >resources for locating a naturopath in your area</a>. This should help you in finding a good naturopath. As I said, I don't know how much the progesterone has helped my fibroid, but there are other reasons to use it, aside from the resolution for my menstrual migraines - there is literature about progesterone helping build and maintain bone density, and also help with preventing Alzeimers. Dr. Rubman gave me a book to read called " Natural Hormone Replacement for Women Over 45 " by , M.D. Although it didn't have much about fibroids, it certainly explained the hormone process quite well. I hope this helps you - good luck! I will report back my progress too!
