Craving flour

Hi! A post-op contacted me about a strange craving they're having. I

think it's fairly common knowledge that if you suddenly find yourself

chewing on ice, there's trouble with anemia there somewhere. Well,

this woman is craving flour -- in the dry, powdery form. She's

consuming several cups of it a day. This is definitely not right. she

needs help. Anyone have any ideas as to what her body is screaming

for?

A doctor. I am not trying to be a smart aleck but she should really contact

her doctor and have him get to the bottom of this. We shouldn't be guessing

about it. There is an " illness " for lack of a better word -- maybe condition

would work -- called pica where people get strange cravings for things. She

should discuss it with her doctor and get taken care of.
