Hello everyone!

I am a member here, but have been on no mail now for a few months. I May need to

go back on no mail, I'll see what happens. And, actually, even though I changed

my preferences yesterday, I have yet to start receiving mail.

I am curious about several things.

I'm not sure where I put my very last bloodwork, but -

One of my last blood work showed my

TSH to be .05. I'm pretty sure that the last one showed it to be .01 (.40-5.50

(can you believe they are still using that as their normals?)

I'm not sure which free's these are - the copy is blurred - but one free is

..9 out of .8-1.8

and the other is:

342 out of 230-420

Do you know which they would be?

and my PCP is being fairly supportive - she is fine with the TSH being where it

is. I thought she'd panic and want me to cut my armour. But with my Free's being

low, I'm not sure where to go from here. I suggested to her that perhaps I could

take a T-3 only med, but she wasn't thrilled with that idea. So at this point,

we are waiting to re-test in a few months. (or are they supposed to be low?)

I am also curious as to what happened to myrxforless (??)

I had never purchased there, but I used it as a comparison in price. I am

curious now, as if I should self treat with t3, where would I get this without a

script?

Thank you!

Cris

..9 out of .8-1.8 This is Free T4

and the other is:

342 out of 230-420 This is Free T3

As both are low, I would recommend upping your Armour dosage. You should be

mid-to high on Free T3, some of us feel best in over the top on T3, the T4

should be mid-to high. If you do decide to add just T3 (wouldn't recommend

this as your Free T4 is still very low) email me privately & I will send you

a link. Email at artisticgroomer@...

Hi back to ya Cris. Yup, you could stand improvement on those

numbers--in my optimal dose of Armour, my free T3 is right at the

top and over....and my TSH was .009 last March. I stopped going by

labs since I got to where I am---I dose by symptoms. A year ago, at

2 grains, I went up 1/4 grain at a time--and when I got up to 3 1/4

grains, I did labs out of curiousity. And bamm--a TSH of .009 and

not one hint of hyper. Wonderful.

Before you add anything to your Armour, consider upping the Armour a

bit. Upping your natural thyroid gives you the extra T4 and

T3.......and you get more of the other ingredients--the T2, T1 and

calcitonin.

One gal here added T4 to her Armour when she had a problem raising

her Armour any higher. Others added T4 when they got their free T3

at the top and over, and simply wanted to push up the T4 a bit.

Dommisse in Arizona does that with his patients. And a lot here

don't add anything--they are on just Armour and doing great. It's an

individual judgement call.

The only time I've seen folks need to add T3 to their Armour were

those who seemed to have a resistance to T3 in the first place,

which doesn't seem to be your case. They might be on 6 grains of

Armour, for example, and their free T3 was still low.

Yes, myrx went bust, but you can email directly for a list

of where to order. She is the keeper of those kind of places.

Free T4 .9 out of .8-1.8

Free T3 289 out of 230-420

From these test results, It is no wonder you are feeling bad. While you are

considered " in range " thus " normal " (I hate that word) to your doctors.. to most

of us you would be considered quite hypo. Your Free T4 would look much better

around 1.4-1.6 and your Free T3 around 400 or HIGHER. You need an increase

looks like to me, especially as you are feeling hypo.

ok - I am using my original e-mail because I had my original blood work in it.

I found my other bloodwork -

This one was from October - The last one that I had done.

TSH - .06 .40-5.50 (but my doctor believes it should be under 3.0 or even 2.0)

Free T4 .9 out of .8-1.8

Free T3 289 out of 230-420

so - my TSH went up a tiny smidgeon. The one below - I was taking an adrenyl

support tab.

My Free T4 stayed the same - and my Free T3 went down.

I would bet, that if I had it done again now, my free T3 would be even lower -

the way I'm feeling.

Oh Cindi, THAT is a classic! I am going to save this comment so I will remember

it for my next doctor trip, if I ever go again... LOL

I will definitely throw that line out!!

I went in my first couple of visits armed with my armour papers - and was

pleasantly surprised when I didn't need them. - until - after the 1st visit, and

that dr. said she'd run free T3, and she didn't. She did run a slew of other

goodies tho - like DHEA and Ferritin. Won't check anything for adrenyls tho, but

at least that makes sense, I think!

The other doctor in that practice believes in running freeT3 - apparently just

not doing what it takes to get the levels up to where they should be!!!

Thanks!

Cris
