Guest guest
Hi Zanna.... ****Can you tell I am frustrated???? **** OH YEAH! ****I called my rhuemy and expressed my deep concern that this was related to the IVIg and possibly hurting my kidneys and I needed to be seen.**** First off, it's very possible that the nurse took the call message and not him. They do that. It also might be that the nurse took it upon herself, knowing that this reaction was rare, to tell you to see your primary doctor and not your rheumatologist. Next, I would have a good sit down talk with him. Ask, no tell him that having this disease is bad enough without getting proper care and the run around. Your condition should be handled by the Rheumy and not by a GP who knows nothing regarding the disease process. Make sure he understands that you went to LL to get excellent care not be passed around from one doctor to another. It also could be that the Rheumy knows nothing that was said to you because the nurse told you what to do and not him. To tell you the truth, You've been unhappy since you got there... so if I were you I'd leave and go back to your old doctor who can see you when you need him. When you have pain and fever you head straight for the ER. Most of these places will tell you to see your primary doctor because it's cheaper for them. Is it easier for you? NO! So, you just need to go and not wait. Did you go to the ER today? Take care, Vicki
