Fibroid embolization specialist in Asia

Anyone knows of any specialist conducting fibroid embolization in Malaysia or

in Asia?

I am due for surgery but I want to sve my womb. My gynae did not tell me about

fibroid embolization.

I need help here. I am willing ot fly to Thailand, Singapore or Perth ,

Australia or China .

There is a Fibroid Clinic in Melbourne, Australia

(www.melbifibroidclinic.com.au) which does fibroid embolization.

I don't have any personal experience of the clinic, just came across

it on the net, but their website has some good information.

There are lots of options apart from hysterectomy. Don't make any

decisions in a hurry. It is a big shock to be told something like

this, so you need to give yourself time to get over the shock and

think clearly what you want to do. Also, depending on the nature of

your symptoms, you may be able to ease them using diet, herbs and

supplements. There is lots of information on this site as well as

many others on the net. The best thing is to read and ask questions -

there is usually someone who knows the answer and understands what

you are going through.

Hi Priscillia,

I'm in Brisbane Australia and know of IR's in Brisbane,Sydney and

Melbourne that perform UAE( although I have yet to have my own UAE so

don't have direct experience).Noelene,a member of this board has

recently had a Myomectomy(removal of fibroid only)performed in

Perth.Hopefully she will chime in when she reads your post or you

could search the archives under her name,I think it was done at the

citys Womens Hospital.Unfortunately I don't know anything about Drs

in Asia but hope someone else may be able to help you there.Good luck

It is a blessing to be in this website and group.The creator of this websit

should be applauded.

Let start a fund for it to assist in maintaining it ( if need be).

One does feel so alone facing it especially when one is single and have been

told - womb or risk of cervical cancer .

How true is this?

If there be a surgery honestly I have to face it alone.

Do not want to have my parents worried as they are already old and having their

medical complications.

I find this yahoo group informative ..adhesions, injection before surgery..drugs

that may have side effect etc more information.
