Guest guest
Hi, It depends on the experience of the gyne. I went to an RE for my surgery even though I did not have trouble conceiving the first time. I was told that I could go to an RE because technically having the miscarriage made my situation a fertility issue. I would have potentially had the same outcome had I not had my fibroids removed. Which means " infertility " . In my case my RE had much more experience dealing with fibroids and surgery than my ob did. I went to another ob for a second opinion and he also did not have as much experience as the RE. I hope this helps??
Guest guest
I've read from a lot of women here they've had procedures done by an RE, and some by a gyno...what is the difference, do REs have more surgical experience? I have an appt. with a new gyno but can't get in until January (my current one wants to do laproscopic surgery to remove my pedunculated fibroid, but she just finished her residency - so doesn't have a lot of surgical experience. Should I be right to be choose someone else?)So I have an appt. with an RE in a few weeks, but I did get pregnant once - had a miscarriage a couple months ago likely to due to fibroid - so I'm not technically infertile. But I was told I'd miscarry again unless I have this removed. Should I still go to the appt., even though I'm not infertile?
