Guest guest
Well I believe, in my trial & error, that I have found another thing that supports adrenal function. I had often after reading people's testimonials, wondered why I didn't seem to have any adrenal problems even after all the years I had been hypo on Synthroid. Well I suspected that my taking DHEAA had helped.. I was RIGHT! About two weeks ago I decided to cut my DHEA way back as I was breaking out and that is a symptom of too much DHEA. I cut from the 50MG a day I had taken for about 5 years down to 25 MG a week. BIG mistake! I am having alot of adrenal insufficiency symptoms now. I increased back to my 50MG starting yesterday. I already feel better today but am still shaky and anxious. Tired and shaky do not go well together! I thought it was funny all of a sudden I was staying awake till 11 PM or midnight when usually I am in bed by 10PM.. I also am having trouble waking up in the morning which is NOT me! I will keep you all informed if this keeps improving now that I am back on the full DHEA I started with. Wonder if I will have to continue this the rest of my life? *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
Ditto to what you said below. I am also on DHEA and wonder if that's why I never needed adrenal support...when by all symptoms before I got on Armour, I should have been! I didn't start the DHEA until I had been on Armour for 7 months tho.....I take DHEA via a compounded gel that also has my testosterone in it. Guest guest
- have you had your DHEA tested? I'm just curious. I had started taking 25mg DHEA on my own several months before getting the new doc to agree testing it. I was low and told to bump it up to 50mg. My Mother tested low, and after taking 25mg came into the normal range, and the doc said to continue the 25mg. I know that DHEA is controversial, but I have read many articles from holistic doctors who say people over age 50 should supplement DHEA for life, because it is such a vital hormone and starts decreasing, I believe, after age 20. I was wondering if I needed adrenal support or if I was turning hyper, because of starting to feel shaky. But still hypo symptoms, low temp, etc. Maybe I just need to let the DHEA and Armour do their thing, huh? .....joan Well I believe, in my trial & error, that I have found another thing that supports adrenal function. Guest guest
I have never had my DHEA tested. Haven't had insurance since my hysterectomy 23 years ago, and I just don;t have much money being the sole support for my house for testing, so much of my meds are trial & error. I generally feel the removal or addition of DHEA within 1-2 days, so if you don;t FEEL the difference, I doubt it will help you like it has me. I started my hypokitty on it 2 days ago, and first day could see a definite difference in his behavior! *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes?
