Guest guest
I wonder if anyone can help? I have 3 children. My first 2 are fine. My 3rd was diagnosed with plagio at 13 mths. I was told that it was purely cosmetic and not too bad, once she had more hair it wouldn't be noticeable. Having never heard of this and thinking Millie's head was just a bit big and mishaped we took the advise of the doctors and did nothing. Millie never liked being on her tummy. In hindsight I should have persisted. Her head is now quite flat at the back and her forehead protrudes. With a fringe it is not too noticeable. Luckily she has quite thick hair. Her head does look big because it is top heavy. I would like to have another baby but my husband isn't keen as he is worried that another baby may also get plagio like Millie or worse. Now that I know about it and know some of the causes can be avoided, what are the chances of us having a baby/toddler with this again? I would be most grateful for any help in this matter. Another question. How do you know if the condition will effect your childs jaw? Nobody had mentionned this to us. I read it today on a plagio website. Guest guest
Hello. I don't think that this is anything that anyone can really predict. My First Daughter had no problems and has one of the most beautifully shaped heads I've seen. lol. But, my other Daughter was born with moderate tort and then developed the plagio. I would say that if you do decide to have another baby... just keep an eye out for any signs of tort and/or plagio. Since you've been through it, you know what to look out for and to be pro-active. You can always get advice from the repo parents on here about preventative repo and products. Jen (21 mo), tort resolved, Hanger Band Grad (4 years) > > I wonder if anyone can help?
