Hi All,

Sorry I haven't written. Here's my latest update from the docs. Went

to the neuromuscular doc @ UIC he said he doesn't know what this is

but he wasn't too impressed that I seeked out a 2nd opinion (he found

that out on is own -- I went to U of C which is in the same area of

Chicago). Well then it went downhill from there he didn't ask me to

get undressed so he could clincally examine me or look at my lastest

papers from my Ear Nose and Throat Doc he just tapped my reflexes a

few times, scratched his head and said, Hmmmm I'm not really sure what

this is. Then I asked him what to do about meds and he said well go

back on the Baclofen and see if it works again. Other than that, I

don't think I need to see you again. Now, I don't know what to do

because I don't have a neuromuscular specialist to go to and U of C

blatantly said " mood disorder " for my diagnosis.

Then I get back from this appointment and my neurologist scheduled a

lumbar puncture for me for the end of the week. So, I went and got the

lumbar puncture done last Friday for the entire weekend up until

Tuesday i had a headache in which I was nauseous and every time I got

up or stood up I felt like I was being hit upside the head repeatedly.

Finally got sick of laying down all the time and had a blood patch

done yesterday. It worked beautifully right away, however, now today I

am back with the same headache I started with.

Has anyone dealt with the blood patch not working? They told me to lay

down again and drink some more caffeine. Then call the doc tomorrow

again that did the blood patch. What should I do? Doc is dumbfounded

that it did't work and said my headache can't be from a spinal leak.

Still waiting on results of the test may be by the end of the week.

Jen
