He is now 9 months old and has had his helmet on for almost 3 weeks and we have already seen significant reshaping in his head. If it looks like the positioning isn't working, which it probably isn't because if she's already 5 months she'll be moving around a lot soon and you won't be able to even do the positioning. Just my opinion though...If you doctor won't do anything about it you may have to find another way. Hope all goes well Salina
Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your responses! It really means alot that there are people out there that understand and that I can talk to! I will try to get ahold of our doctor the beginning of the week. I wish I could this week, just have family coming in and there is no way I can get her in until Monday. I will call and setup an appointment for then and request a referral. Thank you all again, and I will keep you updated!! mom to Harlee, born 5/16/06 ndiana > > Hi everyone! I'm a newbie! I hope it's ok if I post a picture on > here and get everyones opinion. Guest guest
Your daughters head is IDENTICAL to how my son's was at that age. Since your dd is about 5 months now, you could probably get some good correction for the next month, but after that it's a lot harder. With my son, Tyson, we didn't get him in a helmet until he was 8 months, but he has always been considered mild so we weren't too worried about it. Your daughters head looks like his at that age, and we repo'd until he was 8 months and it improved a little, but we still got a helmet. For your sake, I would go ahead with the helmet because its just easier to do it sooner. Good luck! , mom to Tyson Chicago,IL > > > > > > > > Hi everyone! I'm a newbie!
