Guest guest
I wanted to share this super fun thing we found. Greg's in Chicago and has the pics on his camera that we took using it, but I did a search and found several sites on them. I grew up in So Cal on the beaches and now that it's difficult (translation: impossible) to walk on them, I thought I'd never be able to go in the surf again. Greg has managed to push my own wheelchair on the sand a few times but it's hard for him to do, not to mention my chair is " full of sand " afterwards. I saw these beachwheels on 60 minutes (something like that) a couple years ago but had no idea where to find them. When we traveled to Daytona for a couple days, lo' and behold, they were free! We had a blast! The chair is hollow pvc pipe, plus the wheels are hollow plastic, so it was very easy for him to push, and very stable. I went in the water even, it was great! http://echotourism.com/outdoor/beach3.htm They also have the in Australia. This site has better pics of it. Marcus... take note for the OZ Adventure Two!!.) http://www.beachwheelsaustralia.com/

Guest guest
These don't float, but I've been on what you are talking about in Hawaii I think, Cindy. Those are fun too, but you need strong legs to peddle those. These chairs are just wheelchairs, but if you have someone to push you, they are totally awesome!.
