Guest guest
Hello, I'm a new one . I am the mother of my 7 month old, Isabel. I was told our daughter Isabel was going to be wearing her helmet for 2-4 months since we caught it early (at 3 months). She also has torticollis so is going to physical therapy for that as well. She's doing a lot better with her torticollis. Anyway, I am getting a little bit frustrated I guess. They said she was doing really well for awhile then said they wanted to round out her face because it's a bit asymmetrical on the left side. Well, the last time I went in they said that her left side looked more flat and she said she wanted Isabel off her left side. They also said I needed to find a way to get her to not roll over to her belly because she goes immediately to that side of the face. Well, the physically therapist gave me this wedge technique. I swaddle her and put a small pillow on the side (so she doesn't roll over) and wrap a blanket under her and under the matress on the other side. Sounds complicated doesn't it. It works just fine, I'm just worried it's unsafe. I was wondering if anyone else had any of these kinds of problems. I am also worried about the asymmetrical face shape. Is there anything else I could do for her? Thanks for reading all of this! I know I rambled a bit. I was just so happy when I found this site!!!
