Chrissie -- thanks so much for the lab work info. And, Amber, why is it good

to have an oil slick. And lastly, I forget who wrote about the impacted bowel,

but what changes did you make in your diet to keep it from happening again.

I've been having some problems lately and I eat salads and fruit. Is there a

supplement or healthy stool softener to use (Vitalady?). , I ordered

some samples from you. Can't wait to try them.

I'm as distal as you can get and I rarely have oil slicks. I'm supposed to

have severe ones. It's good because it shows your bypass is working. Mine is

still working, labs still show malabsorption of oils, but where do they

GOOOOOOOO? No one knows!

Well, just don't use fat free products. They're higher in sugar, make you

hungry and you can use the fats/oils for your, freedom of movement, know

what I mean?

I think she said FIBER for the bowel problem. Give it some GRIT to keep

everything moving appropriately. But also normal fats/oils (not MEGA), so

you don't have to try to pass sawdust clumps. Sigh. I know WAY too much

about that.

I've used senna (herb), Rx preparations (good & bad), M o M was the best,

fish oil caps, flax oil caps----you can try any of those. Some have had some

" action " with flax seed (the seeds themselves), but not me.

, the " oil slick " shows that you are still malabsorbing. As far as

the stool softener, I am not either of the s, but have been an

RN for almost 25 years so ... I en courage people (myself included) to

use Fiber One cereal by General Mills. It is the lowest carb and sugar

and highest fiber cereal there is. I like it plain, or with soy milk,

and love it mixed into yogurt.

,

I ordered vitalady's iron (generic for NIFEREX-150) which I took

because I was bruising up pretty much (Put an end to that). But I

had to quit taking it every day and switch to every other day because

it caused me to have diarrhea. Now, I take it every other day with

excellent results in my bowel movements... no diarrhea... and

everything is just fine and dandy.

formerly constipated,

Okie

but what changes did you make in your diet to keep it from happening
