Guest guest
Joni... try again... there are several people on the chat right now. Sometimes it takes about 30 seconds for the full screen to load. w --- Joni <lyricaldreamer@...> wrote: Hi gang, I tried to get into chat tonight, but all I got was a grey blank screen. (story of my life!) What's up with that? I meet all of the system requirements (as pointed out in the 'chat problems section'), and I've been to the chat once or twice and never had any problems before. Hmmmm.... oh well... I was there in 'spirit!' Boo! Joni _______________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Louis and all, FWIW the chat function was glitchy last night. My screen kept freezing, I couldn't choose font colors as I usually can, etc. If you tried last night and had troubles, please do try again next week. This was I think the first time I've had troubles with the chat since we've gone to . Kathy R. in Indiana ----- Original Message ----- From: Louis Harkins The chat function for our list is operating normally this morning. I was not able to make it to the chat last night because my sons were using our computer, but, as far as I know, members were able to access the site and chat with each other. Guest guest
Joni, We missed you last night! Your computer problems sound like something that would happen to me. I am always getting " this program has performed and illegal operation... " message. For as many illegal operations we have been involved with, I should be having a lot more fun than I am! I rented " What About Bob " several years ago before I knew anything about OCD. I think I'll rent it again, now that my experience has become up-close and personal. I wonder if I will find it as funny. (Funnier?) BTW, could you describe that rain...in detail, please? Melinda S. Who would give her first born (or second born)(or both) for some rain. Now that I'm with CompuServe (who is owned by AOL) I no longer get that message (?) I guess I'm no longer on their 10 most wanted internet fugitive list! As far as last night's chat, I think it was a fluke, or probably my connection. With the rain recently, I haven't been connecting at my usual 56k connection. Today, I tried the chat and I was able to get in just fine. I also wondered if the chat was too full to let me in... > I rented " What About Bob " several years ago before I knew anything > about OCD. They seemed agitated by Bob's obsession with this family-- like, 'hey- what's the big deal? They should LOVE Bob and let him take over and control their lives!!' I was totally rooting for Dr. Marvin ( Dreyfuss) -- and could soooo relate to him!!! And, I was sooooo irritated with Bob's manipulation tactics and the way he could totally schmooze people into thinking he's the 'nicest/sanest guy on earth.' OMG--- been there, and fell for THAT!!! > BTW, could you describe that rain...in detail, please? > Melinda S. Everything in my garden was drying up -- and it looked more like 'indian summer' around here than mid-July. It's been a freaky summer, with temps in the 70's and 80's. This time of year, we're usually cranking up the AC's in swealtering HEAT and HUMIDITY. But, it could be worse. (18, ADHD+mild OCD) just got back from Daytona Beach Florida (with a group of 5 girls), and he was glad to be back home. He said, " Mom, FLA is just too much HEAT for MY hot- blood and WAY too many HUGE bugs! " LOL He had a good time, naturally, because is a chic-magnet. Dontcha' find it hysterically funny that all the girls that 'love' and obsess over are all studying to be psychologists? LMAO Joni

Guest guest
Couple of things...sometimes it takes quite a long while to come up. Do you see the little java coffee cup? Also, check to see if you have a band right under your toolbar prompting you to install something for active x? Did you look at the instruction sheet I placed in the files section..maybe that will help? Ann
Guest guest
No, there is no java coffee cup and no band prompting for active x. Yep, I did check out your instructions, that is where I knew for sure that something isn't right for me. I've joined othr chats before for a couple of other groups I participate in, but I don't think that they were . It just comes up (quickly) a relatively blank page that just says " Chat " and no other area with the peoples names or anything. Got any idea what I should do now? I'm off to work and wo't be home tim 6, but I'll continue to check around then. Thanks Ann-- > Couple of things...sometimes it takes quite a long while to come up. Guest guest
Gee Val, I don't know. Here are the required specs from : a personal computer running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, or 2000 or XP Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.08 or later) I've run out of ideas. Guest guest
I am having problems getting into the chat. It is just doing the red X in the left hand corner. I know I have heard that other people have had this problem so I was just wondering what I can do to get in. Thanks!
