Guest guest
While I was at the doctor's office today, the nurse-practitioner mentioned an EXCELLENT way to add a high level of protein to my diet. Smoothie King makes a new high protein smoothie called the Gladiator. Here's the nutritional stats on it: 20 oz. 220 calories 0.4 grams of fat 1.6 grams of carbs 50.7 grams of protein The nutritional information changes slightly with the addition of fruits (they allow two fruits to be added). The one I had today was strawberry and papaya. The taste was incredible and I had no problems finishing it. The only downside is the price ... $4.50. As essential as getting protein in is, I think I can spring for it. That leaves me with only 20 grams to acquire (my surgeon recommends 70 grams a day). Just thought I'd share. Guest guest
It's a fresh made-while-you-wait smoothie place. You can see if they have locations near you at http://www.smoothieking.com Hope that helps. Debbie C kitamaiden@...> wrote: Is Smoothie King something you can buy in the Grocery Stores?
