I've read good things about colostrum too & have seen it in my health food

store. You're right, it's pricey. Didn't know it was good for candida

tho...interesting. I'd sure like to have something natural to use to help heal

me & also to relieve the aches/pains so I can get off these Rx pain pills or

take way less of them. How much do you pay for it t iHerb.com? I'd like to

compare prices w/my store. There's so much stuff out there that's really

helpful & healing but oh so pricey & I just can't afford to take everything. My

Primal Defense costs $45. That's a huge expense for me in itself. But it's

wonderful healing stuff too.

Thanx,

Caroline

Re: Oil of oregano

Hi friends,

My Doc of Traditional Chinese Medicine prescribed colostrum capsules

for candida and it cleared it right up. Colostrum is kinda spendy,

but it helps relieve my aches in addition to the acupuncture. I get

colostrum from iHerb.com. I am now taking 6000mg of the powder (one

scoop) 4-5 times a day. It provides great nutrition and helps the

body heal.

Hope this helps, Elaine

Caroline:

The price of the powder is coming down. I paid as much as $90 and now

pay $78 for the powder and it lasts about a 4 - 5 weeks depending on

my pain level. The directions indicate 1 scoop prior to exercise, but

I use to start my day with 1 scoop every hour for 5-6 scoops per day.

To my great joy, my body aches are not nearly as intense or as

frequent. That was 5 months ago. Now I may only have 1-2 scoops per

day. If I have a particularly symptomatic day, I go back to 5 scoops.

It helps. Also, some days my appetite is out of control. I feel

like I am starving. Getting in a few scoops of colostrum deals with

the nutrition depletion and curbs cravings.

I just hate the expense all this puts on my family. For the price of

meds, acupuncture and supplements, I could be driving a Jag...

Oh, that great news, Elaine. It could help me too then. What other supplements

are you taking?

I know what you mean about the expense tho. I'm thinking of joining with a few

other old ladies & going into the bank robbery business. Couldn't you just see

it? The Over-The-Hill Old Crones Mob? LOL!!

But we have to think of our bodies as Jags or Porsches or Mercedes or whatever

then I guess. Or better yet a Lear Jet or helicopiter or even a UFO. LOL!! But

oh, those awful gas prices are getting worse too.

LOL! The Crone Gang is rarin' to go here.

Oh, Chinese herbs are supposed to be good I heard.

Yes this group is wonderful. Can't do without it. Have learned so much too.

Guess I should start taking my temp. too?

I also have a blood draw tomorrow. I don't know a thing about the test results,

will have to post them here for suggestions from the other " wise ones " .

I can't imagine what to tell you about your low cholesterol & high triglycerides

as related to your pituitary tho. I have a friend who's pituitary was injured in

a car accident & shut down. Her weight ballooned up & she nearly died from

overotoxicity in her body. But got help from a

chiropractor/craniologist/accupuncturist/holistic dietician who saved her life.

She's still overweight & now has bad diabetes.

So gotta watch those triglycerides. I'm hypoglycemic so mine were high along

with high bad cholesterol years ago but I got them down the past few years &

they haven't evelevated since. I've been eating oat bran every day which helps

lower it. And Kyolic aged garlic which is good for that too. Also soy lecithin &

ground flax seed every morning which are also recommended.

They brought it down & I've stuck with them & never had any more problems. Tho

the consensus on this group is not to eat soy lecithin but I'm still taking it

anyway as I cannot afford to have high cholesterol/triglycerides. It's working

so I'm still working it until I run out of it then I'll quit taking it & see

what happens.

Hey Caroline, let me know where to sign up for The Over-The-Hill Old

Crones Mob!

I am taking Gui Pee Wan for spleen and Jade Screen for immune system

and Cerebral tonic (these are Chinese herbs) also the regular

potassium & calcium and colostrum. I have learned a lot from this

group. I believe I have adrenal fatigue...my daily temp avg is all

over the chart from 97.0 to 100. I have lab work tomorrow to check on

this and TSH (which I know is high because I have symptoms. I read

yesterday on another web site that if someone is clearly hypo and

their cholesteral is low that the pituitary should be looked at. My

cholesteral is 64 and my triglycerides are sky high...and I don't

drink coke or eat cookies or even have sugar or potatoes in my house

because I have gained so much weight in the past three years.

Any insight on the above?

I can do a real mean " stick 'em up " ...Elaine

  • 3 weeks later...

Low cholesterol can indicate low adrenals. Fish oil capsules can bring down

those triglycerides. They did mine.
