Guest guest
I'm in your situation too. I had to put away my trumpet for the last year and few months and I just had(now 6week) a 1cm advancement of the lower jaw and my major concern is the feeling of my lower lips. I've used my trumpet in the last days just to try to bring back the chops... but It is really weird when you can't feel your lower lip and can't move your jaw too much. First time I tried I couldn't even get an octave from the low G ... aint that traumatizing for someone who used to play in the high C register. I was told by my ortho that probably by christmas I would get the braces off... can't wait to feel the embouchure correctly... hoping feeling will be back by then. on ... where are you in Canada, I'm from montreal ? Guest guest
Hey, youse guys... Come on down for New Orleans' and Mobile's! (Although I confess I am not knowledgeable about Jazz, at least beyond Brubeck.) We do, though, have MOJO -- which is, best I remember, the Mystic Order of the Jazz Obsessed...
