My son has eczema :( I'm a little fearful when he gets his Doc Band

that the heat from it will cause him to break out. Does anybody have a

little one with eczema. If so how are they doing.

, My son has eczema and we just got our Starband yesterday and so far I haven't seen anything. I can't be of much help now but maybe in the future I can let you know how it goes. My son also still has cradle cap. I use a prescription lotion for his eczema and so i'm hoping there won't be any problems with the band. But i'd be interested to know if anyone else also has a son/daughter with eczema that has the band or helmet. Crystal mom to Westyn 7mo. Hi there,

My DS has pretty severe eczema, which we got under control before

getting his helmet. He has been wearing it for three weeks and has

started to get a few small patches, so I would just put the cream on

his head lightly in those areas and wait until it was completely dry,

then put the helmet back on. It has seemed to go away both times. Just

FYI, he also has a helmet that completely cover his whole head, top

and all, and has a strap under the chin. It is a local helmet in

Seattle. I would just really watch out for keeping him cool. We have a

portable AC for our room at night so he does not get too hot at night.

As far as during the day, I just keep an eye on him to make sure he

does not get too hot. I hope this helps....

Another suggestion for Eczema is the Arbonne baby care line. (No, I don't sell it). My oldest son has eczema and this product has been the ONLY thing that has kept his rashes at bay. Thank you I'm currently using an oil called Derma/Smooth. This stuff is like liquid gold! It has worked well for Chadwick. When you used medicine on your son did you have to stop after a certain lengh of tim? Chadwick's ped said to use it for 4 weeks and then stop for 4 weeks. Thanks again Candace Mayer <mommyluvset@...> wrote: Another suggestion for Eczema is the Arbonne baby care line. (No, I don't sell it). My oldest son has eczema and this

I have never had to use an rx for his eczema b/c this stuff works out so well. Before I found this, I would have to use cortizone ointment on him everyday. Of course with that being a steroid, I didn't like using it unless I absolutely had to. Where do you get Derma/Smooth? The Arbonne stuff is just a skin care line... baby wash, lotion...etc. You don't have to do the on and off thing with it. I think it works so well b/c it is 100% natural. Let me know if you decide to try it out and what you think. Candace Crawford <cs.crawford@...> wrote: Thank you I'm currently using an oil called Derma/Smooth. This stuff is like liquid gold! For his body wash and lotion I'm using Aveeno for eczema. It doesnt keep the eczema under control. I will defiantly try the Arbonne. Where can you buy this product? I felt the same way about the cortizone. I was apprehensive about using the cortizone in the beginning. Go to arbonne.com and the area "Locate a consultant". Unfortunately, that's the only way to get the products. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. If you like it, I think it's $29 (I don't remember for certain, though) to be able to buy everything at cost. I should tell you that I also use the skin conditioning oil for my son. His routine is the baby wash and baby lotion, followed by the skin cond. oil in his big problem areas. It's been GREAT! Thanks for the great advice. I contacted my friend today that sells the Arbonne. She said her cousin that is a pedi said most people that she sees says the prescription lotion doesn't work which is what I bought unfortunately. But the next time they come in and have been using the arbonne it's gone. So thanks for the great advice. Candace Mayer <mommyluvset@...> wrote: Go to arbonne.com and the area "Locate a consultant".
