Guest guest
OK - So I know I said I was done - but I'm not! I just can't sit by while my dd gets worse. I contacted CHLA and they said I needed a referral from my dd's ped - I called him and he said I need one from Kaisers cranio-facial. So, I called them for it. I told them I wasn't happy w/ the diagnosis that "no one head is perfect". They asked specifically what was going on - I described the bulge on the rt forehead, the flatness on the rt back, the rt ear being forward, the left ear being squished down, the left eye smaller and they are getting me in to see Drs from UCLA tomorrow night - It's still the same cranio team but there will be other drs there. I'm not sure if I'm happy about it or not but I guess it's better than nothing. So now that I have an appt What can I realistically expect to get the Plagio diagnosis? What should these drs be doing to see if m y dd has it or not. I mean to MY eye she does - but they keep putting me off after just looking at her when she is sitting in my lap. What did your drs do to get to the diagnosis. Measurements? Scans? Pics? Anything other than looking at your baby while they sat in your lap? I wanna know if these guys really know what they are doing, KWIM? Thanks for any help - You guys have been so great!!!! Jen Mommy to 4...and 1 more!!!! LULI'S HERE! Guest guest
Good for you for being persistant. We also got brushed off many times by specialists. We also got the " oh its mild he's so cute " from across the room diagnosis. Hopefully this appointment will be better and they will hear your concerns and know what they are talking about. Good luck. Haylee > > OK - So I know I said I was done - but I'm not! I just can't sit by while > my dd gets worse.
