Guest guest
C, My inner thigh muscles hurt a ton - PT is helping alot with this. All that thigh muscle and tissue is connected to the pelvic floor and can cause referred pain to the vulva. Melinda
Guest guest
There are other nerves that run to the vulvar area that run between the leg and the vulvar area that can also cause pain. Also, the groin is there too and when something like an infection occurs it can cause a lot of pain. When these nerves and the groin act up it can cause pain to radiate down the leg making one think it's muscle when it's not. We have two other nerve branches in that area (which are both peripheral nerves) called the genitofemoral and ilioinguinal nerves. It can cause pain, and real bad sometimes such as with infection. They can also get numb sometimes and the pain be sharp which can let the person know that the nerves are damaged. As Lindsey said about 2 weeks ago even with muscle issues (and I've heard this elsewhere too) that the nerves are very involved. It's how we know we hurt and also when we burn, the nerve causes it by firing and sending a message to our brain saying that we hurt whether it's actual pain or burning.
