Guest guest
Hi , Myo's are fine if everything goes well, but if the surgeon, who may well be very competent and experienced, hits a snag, something unforeseen, then often myo's turn into hysterectomies. There is also a re-growth rate with myo's and down the line, you still end up with a hysterectomy. He can't guarantee that the myo won't turn into a hysterectomy. Like a client of mine who went into hospital for angioplasty and ended up with major heart surgery because the surgeon hit an unforeseen snag, used a bigger surgical instrument and botched it by cutting the major artery, as far as I can remember. Avoid surgery of any kind if you can. Investigate UAE and find an IR who is very experienced. n.

Guest guest
> MY HEMOGLOBIN ETC. IS NOW NORMAL - HOWEVER MY IRON STORES (FERRATIN) > IS ONLY 10. (VERY LOW) >I don't know how to respond to many of the questions you have asked other than to suggest one thing: go with your heart. Your are not too old for a myo at 48 and those doctors need to get their act together. Keep to your convictions and two: your iron count is totally unacceptable. > I got kicked off the table because my iron count was messed up. The nurses did a bleed count on me while I was in the hospital. They break your skin and use a pad to soke up the blood to see how long it takes you to clot. Normal is 0-8 minutes. I was 12 mins. This made my doctors very nervous. In the end my surgery was cancelled because they were afraid that I would have a stroke on the table. Plus it is my understanding that your ferratin count should be between 35 and 155. A ten is not in that range! PLEASE take iron pills every day. Try to stop your bleeding but if you can't stop bleeding take your iron pills consistantly and monitor your ferratin count. Ask the doctors the issues with having any surgery with your iron count so low and how you need to address your iron count while you are ALSO bleeding so heavily. ie. How much of the iron you take to support your body will be lost when you bleed and what can you do about that ratio. > > I DON'T KNOW IF MY BLEEDING WARRANTS SURGERY, OR IF I SHOULD TRY THE > CHINESE DOC'S FIRST. I AM GETTING IMPATIENT. >there is enough time for you to make the right decision for your life. You are worth the wait. > > I THINK I STILL BLEED WAY TOO HEAVILY, EVEN IF NOT AS HEAVY AS SOME > HERE. I USE 25 - 33 SUPER PLUS TAMPONS PER PERIOD, -OVER 3 > DAYS....BUT AM NOT ANEMIC LIKE I WAS LAST YEAR... >and your anemia level is unacceptable. Better than last year is not good enough. Your body needs to be able to make red blood cells and take care of itsself. It needs an " in range " iron count - period. Honor it by allowing it to function as it best during a rough situation! It can only help you in the end! Good luck Malika
