Guest guest
Liz, I am so sorry for all of your losses and that you are stuck in pain. I had never had painful periods but after developing Asherman's I finally went to a doctor because the pain was so bad. I would try to get into one of our Alist doctors (there are two or three in California) rather than doing the 3 months of birth control. I think if your charts seem normal and your pain occurs when you would be bleeding there is no reason to put yourself through 3 more months of pain - your symptoms are very typical for Asherman's. The pain is a good sign as most drs. believe it's the lining trying to escape that causes the pain. Also the u/s that showed a good lining. But they can't see scarring on a regular u/s - they need saline or dye in there with ultrasound (SHG) or X-ray (HSG) or they need to use a scope (hysteroscopy). Please try to see an A-list or at least request a diagnostic test from your doctor. I'm sad to see that your doctor is not the one who mentioned the possibility of AS as they should know better even though it's rare. Let us know how we can help.
