lie, I noticed that you did have one response to your first

post. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/uterinefibroids/message/40584

I didn't reply because I feel like I am becoming a broken record.

First, where are your fibroids located and how big are they? (now

here comes the broken record part) Since you are having heavy

bleeding you most likely have fibroids inside the uterine cavity

(submucousal) as these distort the uterus and interfere with the

normal process of the uterine contracting to expel blood. If indeed

you have a submucousal fibroid you may be able to have a

hysteroscopic resection, also known as vaginal myomectomy to remove

it. This is an outpatient procedure that requires no incision and

practically no recovery time. Even if you also have intramural or

subserosal fibroids simply removing a submucousal should improve the

bleeding.

Second, when you say currette, do you mean a dilation and curretage

(D & C)? If this is done without hysteroscopy then the doctor will

probably not be able to remove the entire fibroid (assuming it is

submucousal). During a D & C the doctor is basically scraping at the

uterine lining without being able to visualize it. The hysteroscope

utilizes a tiny camera so that the doctor can actually see what he

is doing. So no, I do not believe that a simple D & C will help much.

Third, as far as natural methods go, there is a group on Yahoo

called Healing from fibroids naturally. I have heard women on this

group say that some of their symptoms were helped by " natural "

methods, but have not heard of any real shrinkage. I feel that if

it was really possible to shrink fibroids by diet, exercise, herbs

(which I don't feel all particurally safe or natural), accupuncture,

meditation, massage, etc., then we wouldn't all be here.

Despite what those cortisol tests said, I've been thinking all along, to

heck with those particular tests. I'm thinking adrenal issues here, too,

and the blood tests that you took then may not have been accurate. I

remember you saying it, but I can't remember what you said, was it blood

tests or saliva tests? I believe in the saliva tests, and I think that the

blood tests are geared more t'wd 's or Cushing's, at opposite ends of

the scale, NOT t'wd a lesser degree of fatigued adrenals. It's a no brainer

here.

Tomorrow I will go the the healthfood store and buy some adrenal

support. Now if I don't need it but take it anyway, it will do me no

harm, right?

By the way, the cortisol test was blood and urine.

Take the ZRT Labs saliva testing first, then get the adrenal support, if

needed. I still strongly suspect this, but I would never advise anyone to

take adrenal glandulars or cortisol without first testing to see.

I didn't see 's post below and am glad to read 's response

above. Yes, folks, when possible, GET TESTED BEFORE getting on

adrenal support.
