Guest guest
My 6.5-month old baby's right side of back head started to round out and kept showing further improvements during the past 4 weeks. However, her left side of back head stays about the same. As a result, her head became more plagio now. She started with very mild plagio (only 5.6mm asymmetry). I started to worry if there is something wrong with my baby's helmet. After comparing my baby's adjusted head mold (our ortho provided us the adjusted head mold based on my baby's initial scan) and the helmet, I realized that both of them are asymmetric in the same way - the left side of back head is flatter than the right side. I think that might be the reason which caused my baby's head showing no improvements on the left side. Yet inside the helmet, although the left side is flatter, it did have lots of room for baby's head to grow further, but it seemed that my baby's head didn't grow in that way. Does it mean that something went wrong with the helmet holding point on her left side? I don't understand how this could happen. Our ortho is supposed to be very experienced. My baby's head growth became very slow already, and her soft spot is nearly closed. I am so frustrated. Please share your advice… Thanks a lot!!! Annie > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I need your help!
