Guest guest
You would thing that it could not be limited to a race or colour or even a particular part of the world. Since this disease is a defect in hormones it would not be selective. Every person needs 22 chromozones therefore every person has to be able to be affected It would be a major breakthrough if it was limited to only certain people but I believe everyone is susciptiple. Guest guest
Hi Georgia. I'll go next. My tree has a few more limbs. My Mother is a descendent from Native American. Not sure about my father. He left when I was a month old. I know he was Jewish, but don't know where his blood came from... My Grandpa on my maternal side was a Russian Jew. My Grandma was a smart ass Texas girl. I think that I have Swiss or Irish somewhere in me. I remember my Mom and I went over this for the school project once but that was at least 10 years ago. I'll have to wait until she gets home from work to get more accurate info. Have a great night!! -Billie
Guest guest
I think the issue of race and Nf2 is very valid. Are people interested in doing a hands-up? I'll start. Go on, admit it, you really thought I'd keep my big mouth shut and say nuffin', didn't you? Anyway, although both branches of my family have been in Australia since the 1860s or thereabouts, the bloodlines are really boring. English (Cornish mostly), one mad Irishman, but mostly Scots. Most of us have very fair skin and blue eyes. Who's next? Georgia
Guest guest
I met a young black woman with nf2 at the Columbus Speach & Hearing Center back in the early 90's. She was from Toledo Ohio. She is the only black NF2er I've ever met. Jeffro! Race > > > > I don't want to seem like a jerk for writing this. Believe me. > > > > About 3 years ago, I did an English report on NF2. Guest guest
Hi Georgia! Me German, but no family history of NF-2. I'll do alittle net surfing and let the group know if anything is found. We do know females have a slightly higher incidence of unilaterals I think. Mom is red-headed with a red complexion, but I got my Dad's Mom's dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Nothing special here! ) Donna H. I think the issue of race and Nf2 is very valid.
