Dawn:

Please don't let your husband's negative attitude effect you...though I know

that it is hard to do. He is probably scared for you and this possibly could

be his only way of dealing with it. You have this whole support group who is

here for you and remember the reason why you want to do it. This is your way

to get healthy and be around for your children.

You will be in my prayers and I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Here is to

thin and healthy days for the rest of your life.

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe tomorrow is the BIG day. The day that all of us

anxiously await. I have to be at the hospital at 5:15am to have

surgery at 7am. Dr. Klem will be doing my surgery at Central DuPage

Hospital in Winfield, IL (a western suburb of Chicago). I told my

girls (ages 11 & 14) that it was their choice what my " last meal " was

going to be and they chose Subway so we had Subway for lunch. I had

a 6 inch subway melt with lots of veggies on it. We are supposed to

have a light dinner (no bowel prep) so I will just have a protein

shake. I can't believe when I stepped on the scale this morning that

I have lost another 5 lbs. I'm curious to see what I weigh before I

go into surgery tomorrow. I have lost over 15 lbs since my initial

consultation with Dr. Klem in March. Most of the weight has come off

in the past month or so. I have just gotten into a post surgery mind

set. I stopped eating most foods that I would not be able to eat

post of and started cutting back on portions. I can't wait to see the

pounds come off after the surgery.

Please everyone keep me in your prayer and thoughts tomorrow as I

start my journey to " the other side " of weight loss surgery. My

husband still does not want me to have the surgery. In fact, this

morning he told me to pick out the clothes and anything else I wanted

to have buried with me. I think at this point that I have just left

it in God's hands. Please send me well wishes, I can use all the

support I can get.
